Software Dental Júlia alternative: an honest comparison
On this page

If you are comparing Software Dental Júlia against other options, the first thing worth saying is that you are not comparing a modern product against a dinosaur. Júlia is cloud software, it runs in the browser, and it publishes a price on its website — which is more than most of its competitors in the Spanish market do. That already places it in the better half of the field.

So this article is not about tearing anyone down. It is about a useful comparison: where they overlap, where they genuinely differ, and which situation each one suits. We make Dently, so we have an obvious interest. That is why everything we state about Júlia comes from their own website, consulted on 11 September 2026, and everything we say about ourselves you can verify yourself in a trial with no card.

Where they are alike (and why that is good news for you)

Both are dental software with no install. Neither needs a PC acting as a server behind the front desk, neither requires updating versions machine by machine, and both are reached with a browser from wherever you are.

Both charge per clinic, not per user. This matters more than it looks, and it is where the dental market splits in half. When a program charges per user or per treatment room, adding a hygienist raises the bill, and the provider makes money when your team grows. When it charges per clinic, it makes no difference whether you are three or twelve. If you are weighing options beyond these two, that is the first question to ask.

And both publish a price. It sounds like a detail until you compare it with what happens when you request information from the big names in the sector: a form, a sales call, and a quote that depends on how much you look able to pay.

The three differences that actually decide it

1. Entry price versus real price

Their site advertises Júlia from 69 € per month. Dently is 50 € per month per clinic plus taxes.

The gap in the figure is the least interesting part. What matters is the word from: it means a configuration exists that costs more, and it is worth finding out what triggers it. That is the question to put to any provider, us included.

In our case the answer is that there is no small print: 50 € is the single price with the entire product inside, no modules unlocked by paying, no per-user cost. The only thing billed separately is genuine external consumption, such as WhatsApp messages, because Meta charges per message and folding them into a flat rate would mean overcharging clinics that never use them. If you have two sites, each one carries its own subscription — we would rather say that here than in the second month’s invoice.

2. Where you can use it

This is the cleanest of the three because it admits no nuance: Júlia’s own website states it is only sold in Spain for now.

Dently was built international from day one. The interface is in Spanish and English, currency and time zone are set per clinic, and what the patient sees — reminders, treatment plans, consent forms — comes out in the clinic’s language. If your clinic is in Mexico, Chile, Colombia or Argentina, or if you treat international patients and want their documents in English, this stops being a nuance and becomes the deciding criterion.

If your clinic is in Spain with no intention of leaving, this difference does not affect you at all. Say so plainly when you weigh it up.

3. What happens to invoicing in 2027

Verifactu is not a trend, it is a date: 1 January 2027 for clinics incorporated as companies, 1 July 2027 for those held by a sole trader. And the duty to invoice through a valid system belongs to the clinic, not to whoever sold it the program.

On the Júlia product page we consulted there is no mention of Verifactu. We do not conclude from that that they have nothing under way, because it would be unfair. We conclude that this is exactly what you must ask them in writing, as you should ask anyone. Two questions, and let the answer be a date: will it issue chained invoicing records and when, and will you hand over the manufacturer’s responsible declaration?

At Dently invoicing already runs: sequential numbering per series, a chained tamper-evident record of every invoice, and corrective invoices instead of deletions. It is designed for Verifactu, and we phrase it that way deliberately: we do not say we are certified, because claiming compliance early is precisely what the law punishes. The whole thing is explained in Verifactu for dental clinics.

Where Júlia may suit you better

If this is an honest comparison, this section has to exist.

If what you want is track record. Júlia has years in the Spanish market and a base of clinics we do not have. Dently is a young product. That has a good side — what you ask for gets built in weeks and you talk directly to whoever writes the code — and a less good side, which is fewer years of shakedown behind it. If your main criterion is hiring the most established option, that point is theirs.

If you need something specific they list and we do not. Their site highlights things like daily cash closing and an odontogram adjusted to the patient’s age. Write down the five things your clinic does every single day and check them one by one in both products during the trial. No comparison written by a vendor, this one included, replaces that list.

If your team does not want to change twice. If you are already on Júlia and it works reasonably, the real cost of migrating is not the software price: it is your team’s time and the risk of moving clinical data. A 19 € monthly difference does not justify a migration on its own. What justifies one is a gap that is actively hurting you.

How to decide in an afternoon without trusting us

  1. Write down your five daily tasks. Booking a patient who calls, moving an appointment, taking payment, sending a treatment plan, pulling up a history. Five, not twenty.
  2. Open both trials. Júlia advertises 10 days; Dently is 14 and asks for no card.
  3. Load the same real Monday into both. Emergencies, delays, two dentists at once. A real Monday finds in an hour what a demo hides for three.
  4. Ask the five provider questions. All-in price, backups and how they are restored, how you export your data if you leave, a signed data processing agreement, and a Verifactu date.
  5. Count the clicks. Same task, both products. The program that needs four steps where the other needs two will cost you that time every day for years.

If you end up choosing Júlia because it fits your clinic better, you will have decided on the evidence, and that is already a win. And if you would rather see Dently with your own data on screen instead of a sample clinic, start the 14-day free trial and load your own schedule into it.

Information about Software Dental Júlia comes from their public website (softwaredentaljulia.es), consulted on 11 September 2026. Any provider’s pricing and features change: check them before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price difference between Júlia and Dently?
According to their own website consulted on 11 September 2026, Software Dental Júlia is advertised from 69 € per month per clinic. Dently is 50 € per month per clinic plus taxes, and that is not an entry price: it is the only price, with the whole product included and no per-user charge. The word to watch in any comparison is from — it forces you to ask what makes the bill go up.
Are both of them cloud software?
Yes, and that is precisely what makes them comparable. Neither Júlia nor Dently is installed: both run in the browser with no server in the clinic. If you are comparing either of them against an installed program, that is a different and considerably bigger decision.
Can I trial both before deciding?
Yes, and you should. Their site advertises a 10-day trial with no lock-in. Dently is 14 days and asks for no card to start. Our advice is to load the same real day from your calendar into each one, with its emergencies and overlaps, and compare the same task in both.
What if my clinic is outside Spain?
That is the clearest difference between the two. Their own website states that Software Dental Júlia is only sold in Spain for now. Dently was built international: interface in Spanish and English, currency and time zone configurable per clinic, and patient-facing text in the clinic's language.
And what about Verifactu invoicing?
Worth asking any provider in writing, because the duty to invoice through a valid system belongs to the clinic, not the program. On the Júlia product page we consulted on 11 September 2026 we found no mention of Verifactu; that does not mean they have no plans, it means you have to ask. Dently already issues invoices with sequential numbering per series and a chained, tamper-evident record, designed for the Verifactu rules, whose dates are 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for sole traders.
